Mr. Cool Can

Waste Management needed a series of programs that addressed recycling as a positive process. Mr. Cool Can is an animated, recycled, aluminum can that talks directly to kids about recycling, how it works and why it’s important. Rick Collins, South Coast computer animator, used the latest in 3d animation and digital compositing technology to make Mr. Cool come alive. B-roll of everyday recycling in a typical family expands and illustrates the story. The series has been extremely successful and is a part of the curriculum in grade schools in Ohio, Illinois and California.
